Hello All:

This world has been around for about 8 months now but we aren't really seeing people use the spawn portals to their fullest potential. Some staff members have updated the portals to try and renew interest in starting player villages and/or shops. If you have ideas or suggestions please list them in this tread.

To date the following changes have occurred:

Ice Palace Portal (Ice Biome): Decorative buildings and helpful Easter eggs added to the admin plot. Buildings mostly feature medieval and Viking/Nordic style. Apart from player shops several public xp farms have been made available by players

Desert Oasis (Desert Biome): decorative buildings and server shop (horses) added admin plot. Buildings mostly look abandoned/derelict. Helper Blob has made a big XP farm for public use.

JungleVille (Jungle Biome): Large rework to add bridges, paths, decorative builds and redstone features to the temple (hints on signs).

Oceanopolis (Ocean Biome): Minor decorative buildings added underwater to the admin plot .

Swampy Town (Swamp Biome): Witch hut and decorative buildings added to the admin plot.

SavCity (Savana Biome): Decorative Victorian-Style buildings and path added to the admin plot. A redstone powered well (hints on signs) is also present. Sizable player builds and terraforming are underway.

Within a couple of hours of joining this world for the first time, about a month ago, I had noticed that few of the warps have been developed by players. I'm glad to see that lots of effort is being made to try to encourage players to use the warps! Smile

I do have a suggestion! Which is somewhat irrelevant now but I hope is taken into consideration in the future. When the world resets, I think that originally there should be no warps, but as time goes on warps should be added, and dates should be given in advance to hype the arrival of them, increasing activity on the server! I understand that there is no plan to reset the world anytime soon but I have a number of ideas on how this could be done in a way which would really improve the server and increase activity, one day when I feel like killing my fingers and wrists I will write about this in a new thread Smile.

-thomasshh Cool

Btw The_Marauder you made a small typo which could cause confusion, you missed out the 'H' in Thread to spell Tread Wink.

I fail at all things. Kill me now.

Maybe do unique server shops at each portal?

ie. the desert is starting to look like a wasteland, could zombie horse egg be added to a shop there?
Or maybe take a page from the last world and set up the villager trade shops that occasionally boost items form /sell hand so players can make more cash
